play cool. stay cool.
We MAY-D-IT to May! The snow is finally gone and Memorial Day weekend is around the corner. You know what that means? SUMMER is officially here! YAY! It's time to get those UnderCool's out, dust them off, toss the cooling packs into the refrigerator and get OUTSIDE.
Summer for us means festivals, this is why we named one of our packages The Festival. It seems there is a festival for everyone. Here is Rochester, there are 140 festivals in our area. Some of the best ones are the Lilac Festival (May), Xerox Rochester International Jazz Festival (June), Corn Hill Arts Festival (July) Park Avenue Festival (August), Clothesline Festival (September), KeyBank Fringe Festival (September) and ImageOut Film Festival (October.)
What cool festivals do you have around you and what festival did you wear your UnderCool too? Email us a fun pick and help us spread the word email@example.com

And the zebra asked me,
Are you good with bad habits?
Or are you bad with good habits?
Are you noisy with quiet times?
Or are you quiet with noisy times?
Are you happy with some sad days?
Or are you sad with some happy days?
Are you neat with some sloppy ways?

And on and on and on and on

CMSC - The Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers
We are eagerly sitting on the edge of our seats until the last week of May. The ThermApparel team is going on our first road trip of the summer to CMSC (The Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers) in Nashville Tennessee. The best news is for the first time the trade show will be open to the public on Saturday June 2. Anyone in the area please come down to the Music City Center, say hi and tell us your story.
None of us have been to Nashville before so let us know what we need to see and do while we are there. Where is the best food, fun, drinks and sites? But more importantly this is a great opportunity to meet and see friends. It is always good to get out of the office and learn. Learn about what is new or what is old but working differently. The CMSC is a wonderful group that adds organizational and synergy to the MS world by getting the MS community together in one place once a year. This is just a taste of the medical areas converging to work together on MS; Physicians, PAs, Nurses, Pharmacists, Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, Social Workers, Physical Therapists, Non-for-profit Organizations and specialty product and service companies
making it better
As part of the "Making It Better" section this month, we would like to tell you about one of our customers and why the UnderCool didn't work out for them. What?! What company publicly talks about the negative experiences their customers had! We do! We strive to be transparent… Our UnderCool is not going to be the best choice for everyone. We have made the UnderCool to be as light as possible and as a result we had to give something up.
That compromise was problem for a customer with MS who purchased the UnderCool for help at work. Where they work the temp can range between 95ºf – 120ºf. Dang! …that’s hot. They were interested in the comfort and inconspicuous aspects of the UnderCool but the cooling did not last long enough for their needs. They called and we talked on the phone, we suggested they try putting 2 sets of packs in the pockets. This did extend the time of the cooling packs however it still wasn’t working for their situation. They returned the UnderCool and we gave them a complete refund and a huge thank you for trying the UnderCool and letting us know what they found out. It was incredibly helpful. What hacks/ inventions and ways of doing things have helped you? PLEASE share! We would love to hear them and you never know who it could help.
Now I Can - cool testimonials
We get amazing testimonials from around the world of how the UnderCool is helping people. This one is from Tom in Kansas City, MO.

tips & tricks
After working with a few customers to get their vest approved with various insurance companies we realized that our insurance page on the website needed an overhaul. With the new updated information, we hope this streamlined process keeps the usual phone and fax run-around to a minimum. The process can be (relatively easy) but for some providers and insurance plans it may take a long time to get through the all the steps There are a lot of i’s and t’s that need to be dotted and crossed in a secure responsible manner to keep you and your information safe! This mandated government process has to be followed and can take time anywhere from 30-90 days.
Some customers have had quicker results by using their HAS (Health Savings Account) or FSA (Flexible Spending Account) to purchase the UnderCool cooling vest. Make sure that you check with your provider before exercising this option.
If you decide to file for an insurance claim, please be patient with the approval process as most insurers require at least 30 days to come to a decision. We recommend following these steps so you are not stuck calling the same people over and over, because being on hold is no fun :(
