Meet Jenny

Jenny is from Canada. She lived and loved life to the fullest. She was an artist, an outdoor enthusiast, and a thrill seeking, obsessive athlete. She was diagnosed with Relapsing Remitting MS in 2014 and her whole life as she knew it was gone in a matter of weeks. It was a fast and radical decline. She had been misdiagnosed 10 years earlier so the disease had been left to advance unchecked unbeknownst to her.

Because of her ThermApparel UnderCool Cooling Vest Jenny is able to still stay active by horseback riding.

It allows me to horseback ride, which is the only activity that I'm able to do as a handicapped person and it gets me through the whole ride. It's absolutely brilliant.

I call my MS ‘a poltergeist’ as I felt a gruesome creature had crawled into my body, wreaking havoc, causing hideous pain and dysfunction as it moved through my body doing unimaginable things.

The doctors repeatedly said I had a grisly prognosis, and it was a rare, very aggressive type of MS. I didn’t respond to any of the standard and best treatments available on the market. I tried everything possible to heal myself with various types of physical rehab, alternative treatments, diet, etc.

Nothing worked and finally I turned to a radical and unapproved treatment I had not done yet called autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplant (aHSCT). It meant I had to fundraise and travel out of country to Mexico to get it.

It was a very difficult treatment to endure to say the least. But this has given me a second chance at life and I am looking forward to living without my poltergeist causing any havoc, hopefully less pain and maybe even greater mobility. So far I have seen some incredible and miraculous effects and have begun to even dream again about things in the future  heart

Heat intolerance has never been one of my biggest symptoms, but I can get overheated quickly and the effects are debilitating, like many others with MS. On referral from a good friend at FUMS. I purchased a ThermApparel Cooling Vest with ExtendedCool Packs. It has allowed me to do my only activity I am physically able to do: horseback ride.

It’s extremely hot, most summers, and with the vest on, I can make it through an hour on horseback. People say they can’t even tell that I’m wearing the vest, which is just music to my ears! I even used it when I went to an outdoor concert recently where I was in direct sun. It was well over 90°F, and I didn’t collapse from the heat. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this product heart

Transcript from Jenny's Video

Hi, my name is Jenny, I have multiple sclerosis and heat is a major issue and impediment to any kind of activity outside due to the heat and the effect that it has on my body. Really.

A friend of mine told me about the ThermApparel Cooling Vest, so I picked one up and bought the ExtendedCool Cooling Packs.

It allows me to horseback ride, which is the only activity that I'm able to do as a handicapped person and it gets me through the whole ride. It's absolutely brilliant.

You can't tell that it's on and it tucks really nicely under my top and when I need to take it off I just let the velcro go and pull it off from the side.

Here it is upright and you can see a little bit down there. Thank you so much ThermApparel!
