This summer I had my first real chance to put my ThermApparel Cooling Vests to the test. My husband and I drove from Phoenix to Denver and spent several days in the National Parks in Utah. Does ThermApparel accept insurance?
Unfortunately, we do not accept insurance. The majority of insurance providers typically do not cover cooling vests, as they don’t consider them medically necessary (we agree, it’s frustrating!). However, coverage may be possible depending on your insurance provider and plan.
To help, we’ve created a helpful Insurance Resource page with tips, steps, and suggestions for working with your insurance company. If insurance coverage doesn’t work out and you have MS, you can reach out to the National MS Society or the MS Foundation to apply for their cooling programs.
Please note: As a small company, we can’t bill insurance directly, but we can assist with providing invoices, medical receipts, and product information to support your claim.
