Dr. Gretchen of the MSing Link's review of ThermApparel UnderCool Cooling Vests:

Transcript of video:

Something that I am totally crushing on lately is this ThermApparel undercool vest. I love it for so many reasons. But the main reason I love it is because it's so lightweight, and it actually is suposed to go on underneath my shirt, which I'll show you in a second. But it is so comfortable. The gel cooling pads are right in the back here and it's just so comfortable. It's adjustable, it has these straps that you can either loosen, if you have if you need some more space there or you can tighten it exactly to where you need and it's so comfortable. It comes in all different sizes from extra extra small all the way to extra large and it keeps your core temperature down. So if you wear this when you're exercising, you'll not only be able to get a more effective exercise in but you'll be able to do more exercises. Oftentimes when people who have MS are exercising your core temperature increases because you're moving around so it makes sense that you may get some heat intolerance symptoms but if you can keep your core temperature down, that heat intolerance should either not come at all or be significantly reduced. And I'll tell you I just put this on maybe 30 seconds ago -- I'm already feeling how cool it is on my back. It feels instantaneous to me how cold it is.
So let me share with you some of the specifics. Okay, so I wanted to show you this without me wearing it. So this is the side that touches my back. And this is the other side and I know it comes in a white color as well. So it can hide under various colored clothings. But you'll see that there's four sections there for the cooling packs, and I wanted to show you what they look like they're made out of the phase change material. They're non toxic biodegradable, which I love. So this is one that is not frozen. Okay? And they freeze super quickly they freeze in as little as 20 minutes. And then this is one that is frozen so not frozen and frozen. If you put it in ice water, it freezes in 20 minutes if you put it in the freezer, it's 40 minutes and if you put it in the refrigerator, it's 60 minutes. So once these are no longer cool on your back, which is likely around one or two hours, just pop them back in ice water fridge or freezer and then within an hour or less, you'll be able to use them again. So normally they would all be frozen. I just wanted to show you what this would look like and you just put them in these pouches so there's two already in there. I'm gonna put these in right now. And it's really easy to just fly them in... and then you're good. Then they're in and you turn it around. And then you put it on just like that but I'm going to show you right now what it looks like underneath your shirt because you honestly can't see it at all. And like I said before you immediately cool down. I just love this product. So let me show you.
Okay, so I am going to put this right on over my tank top. It is safe to use right on your skin if you wanted to do that instead if if the hot summer and you just pull around nice velcro looks like this. And then I'm gonna go ahead and put on my shirt. And I honestly feel like I could move around do whatever you wanted with this. And you can not tell that I'm wearing it. I know so many people with MS who don't want to look like they're wearing a cooling pack. And I am chilled right now honestly just from the couple of seconds of wearing it. I love the ThermoApparel under cool and it is so important that when you're exercising you have something to keep you cool. So that is the main reason that ThermApparel and I have decided to collaborate and anyone who gets the semi annual membership of the missing link my online ms wellness program gets $25 off of their ThermoApparel and anyone who gets the annual membership gets $100 off and they have so many different bundles that you can get. Their most basic bundle is exactly what I showed you today. It's the vest and it has the four strips of cooling ice packs. And that is $199 but if you get the month or the annual membership of the missing link that's only $99 for you. So insane value. They have other options where you can get different colors together and more of the cooling gel packs. So this is such a great opportunity. I'm so excited to be collaborating with them. I just wanted to share with you the reasons why I love ThermApparel undercool vest.

From our humble origins we have been striving to help people live active, comfortable, and safe lives. In a time like this we all need more help and we hope this information on masks and the pitfalls of their use can help.  Remember that if you are overheating you can also make sure to stay a safe distance from others to remove your mask and take water breaks and switch out your cooling packs.

Stay safe, stay healthy, stay happy.
